Ann and her husband, Mark, have lived in Maynard for 12 years and love being part of this small town community. Their three children, William (7th grade), Katie (4th grade), and Tommy (2nd grade), have had a wonderful experience in the Maynard schools. Ann has been involved volunteering with the PTO and at Green Meadow since 2010, when William started Kindergarten. Given her years of experience at the school along with her relationships with the teachers and staff as well as with the parents, Ann is very excited to continue with the PTO President role. She hopes to continue to bring a strong sense of community to the students and families at this exceptional school.
Tammy and her husband Eiu (“E”) have lived in Maynard nearly 10 years with their two children Emily (3rd grade) and Ethan (1st Grade). When her daughter was in Kindergarten, Tammy looked for ways to get involved in the great programs that the PTO offers, so she attended the monthly PTO meetings, worked on the School Directory and helped with the Tiger Trot. The following year, Tammy joined the board as Treasurer and is now taking on the role of Co-President in her 3rd year on the PTO Board.
Renee and her husband, Bob, moved to Maynard in 1999. They have 4 kids, Anne (6th Grade), twins Lily and James (2nd Grade) and Emmie (2nd Grade) This is her second year working with the PTO and is looking forward to working along with all the wonderful families and students at Green Meadow School.
Zoe moved to Maynard with her husband Josh in 2005. Their son Luke enjoyed 4 great years at Green Meadow before moving on and they currently have a daughter, Brianna, in 3rd grade. Zoe enjoys helping to raise funds for the great programs funded by the PTO! She has helped through the years in various capacities including collecting auction donations, baking, helping with kindergarten registration and has served on volunteer sub-committees with the superintendent and school committee. She is very excited to continue on the board for her second year.
Michelle lives in Maynard with her husband Scott and their three children, Rylee, Makenzie and Mason. Rylee is a third grader at GM and Makenzie is in 1st grade. Mason is 3. Michelle is a Realtor, stay at home mother and has recently started a position substituting at GM. She is excited to continue her involvement with the school in her second year on the Board.
Cara and her husband Shaun moved to Maynard in December 2016 with their two sons, Andrew (5) & Colin (3). At that time, Andrew transitioned to Green Meadow Preschool and the Caissie Family immediately felt connected to this well-established community. Currently, Andrew & Colin are both students at Green Meadow. Cara is a Family Therapist with over 12 years experience of providing communities with various mental health services. Both she and her husband, a local firefighter, believe in the importance of building strong connections with families and the school system. Grateful for the warm welcome received from the town of Maynard, specifically Green Meadow, Cara is eager to give back through her efforts on the PTO Board.
Amy and her family have called Maynard home since the Summer of 2014. Her husband Kevin, son Benjamin (7) and daughter Vanessa (4) have been met with a strong sense of community both in town and at the Green Meadow School, where Ben is a second grader. Amy is pleased to join the Green Meadow PTO as Co-Treasurer this year and looks forward to collaborating with her peers to support this great school.
Cate and her husband Joe moved to Maynard in 2013 from Somerville, MA. They live with their two sons, Joey (5), Sam (2), and will be welcoming their third child in January of 2018. Joey is in Kindergarten at Green Meadow. Cate worked as an elementary school teacher for several years before making the switch to stay-at-home mom in 2015. Prior to working as the PTO Community Outreach Chair, she also served as a board member of the Maynard Family Network, and helped establish a local “Mom’s Night Out” social group in town. Cate is excited about the opportunity to work towards utilizing our wonderful community resources as well as “bridging the gap” between the younger families in town with our schools.
Mike is in his tenth year teaching third grade at Green Meadow and enjoying his second year as a PTO member. He lives in Acton with his two sons, Max (18) and Nick (14).
Mary Beth Shea
Mary Beth Shea is an experienced administrator having been a principal and assistant principal in previous districts. Her prior knowledge and skills around social emotional learning and her experience with PBIS make her exceptionally qualified to be the Green Meadow principal of leadership and operations.
